Amanda Reed Obituary, Death – The death occurred on Saturday, September 5, 2009, of Amanda M. Wilson-Reed, who was 27 years old. Born in Rockford on the 22nd of August, 1982. She graduated with the Class of 2001 from Boylan Catholic High School, where she competed in track and was a member of “National Helpers.” Bowling was a hobby of his, and he was a huge admirer of the Chicago Cubs and Bears. Amanda possessed a contagious enthusiasm for life and a plethora of friends who loved her and would miss her dearly in this world. Park Lanes was my place of employment for a number of years.
Surviving family members include the mother, Diane (Robert Libby) Wheeler-Reed; the fathers, Chris (Lori) Wilson and Brad (Kristine Lundholm) Reed; the sisters Ashley, Taylor, and Abby Reed; the brothers Stewart, Matthew, and Garrett Wilson; the paternal grandparents Eugene and Carolyn Wheeler, Roberta Brady, Carol Wilson, and James and Betty Smith; the great-grandmother, Maggie Burgert; the niece Aubree Reed; and Both the great-grandfather Clarence Wilson and the great-uncle Jeff Reed have passed away.
The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. On Friday, September 11, at the Delehanty Funeral Home Ltd. located at 401 River Lane in Loves Park, the service will be officiated by the Reverend Timothy Olson. The funeral home will be open for visitation on Thursday, September 10, from 4 to 8 o’clock in the evening. Instead of flowers, there will be a memorial set up for those who have been affected by domestic abuse.
