Boike’s death was ruled official shortly after this took place. When the accident occurred, Boike’s safety belt was buckled up and securely fastened around his waist using the buckle. This ensured that he would not be thrown from his seat.
During the time that the incident took place, the roads were said to have been “slippery due to the weather and precipitation throughout the day,” as stated by the sheriff’s office. The fact that it had been raining on and off throughout the course of the day was a factor that contributed to the outcome of this situation. In addition, the page states that Boike was a member of the St. Cloud Crush.
