Eleanor Bowles Obituary, Death – Eleanor Bowles, who is 77 years old and a grandmother, walked into her garage on Saturday at her gated home in Buckhead and confronted a young man who was in the process of stealing her SUV, according to the Atlanta Police Department. She was brutally stabbed multiple times, and her death was the result. The son of Eleanor located his mother on Saturday afternoon. He had only recently finished a conversation with her a few minutes earlier while he was on his way to see her. It is believed that she was murdered immediately following the phone call. Michael Bowles is quoted as saying in a statement that was provided to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that “Finding her like that is something that will be with me forever.” “What took place in front of her was the stuff of her worst nightmares. The majority of people’s worst fears have been realized.” On Saturday evening, Bowles’ SUV was discovered. The suspect has not been apprehended at this time. On West Paces Ferry Road, approximately one mile from the Governor’s mansion, this heinous crime was committed.
Her residence was located within the private confines of the gated community of the Paces West subdivision, directly opposite the OK Cafe close to the interstate. A family should not have to spend their holiday season mourning and grieving the loss of a loved one, as Deputy Chief Charles Hampton Jr. stated. “This is not the way that a family should have to spend their holiday season.” When it comes to finding a solution for this family, we won’t stop at anything until we find it. Michael Bowles has stated that he is determined to educate people about the shockingly tragic circumstances surrounding the passing of his mother.
In the statement, he was quoted as saying, “I want everyone to understand that none of us are safe anywhere we go anymore.” “I hope that people read this story and understand it, and if they do, then maybe we can all work together to bring about some kind of change. I will never forget the message you gave me, mom. I will always carry it with me. Her family described Eleanor Bowles as a “kind, precious, funny, loving mother, grandmother, and friend” in a GoFundMe campaign (tinyurl.com/27z8ar9z) that was established in her memory to benefit the Atlanta Humane Society.
