Jamie Dumas Obituary, Death – At the age of 73, James “Jim” Dumas, a resident of Little Falls, New York, passed away at the Little Falls Care Center. At the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, there will be a Celebration of Life Service on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 30, beginning at noon and continuing until 1:45 p.m. At two o’clock in the afternoon, the burial will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, which is located north of Little Falls. James Emil Dumas was born on September 24, 1949 in Biloxi, Mississippi. His parents, James Dumas and Brenda (Lechtner) Dumas, both passed away before their son was born. He spent his childhood and his school years in the Biloxi area. During the time of the Vietnam War, he served his country with honor in both the United States Army and the United States Air Force.
After being discharged from the military with honor, he went on to work for Fayard Trucking for a number of years in the over-the-road driving position. In 1991, he and Jeanette Norton became one flesh in the state of Louisiana through the sacrament of marriage. In addition to that, he worked for Team Industry in Cambridge as a machinist. James’s favorite activities were fishing, collecting knives, watching the rodeo channel, and imitating a valley girl while speaking with a southern drawl. Jim cherished the time he got to spend with Callie, his pet cat. But most importantly, the time he was able to spend with his family, particularly with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was invariably a source of joy for him.
Those who are left behind to honor his memory are his wife, Jeanette Dumas of Little Falls; sons, Bryan (Ashley) Dumas of Oklahoma and Jason (Caroline) Dumas of Spooner, Wisconsin; daughters, Pauline (Thomas) Lehner of Carlos, Jeanette “Joyce” Bollin of Little Falls, and Loretta Moore of Browerville; grandchildren, Ross, Justin, Nicholas, Arcadia, Austin, Harly, Cheyenne, Mercedes
