In the line of duty, Firefighter Lyle James Crawford Jr. became infected with COVID-19, and despite his best efforts, he was unable to overcome the disease. As a result, he developed complications that finally resulted in his passing away. The only members of the Crawford family to survive the tragic loss of Firefighter Crawford Jr. are his high school sweetheart and wife of 16 years, Jennifer, as well as their three children, Kimber, Layna, and Colt.
Sergeant Michael David Dunn became infected with COVID-19 while performing his duty, which resulted in a series of difficulties that finally led to his passing on October 22, 2021.
