If you sense that your child is having difficulty coping with the circumstance, we suggest you to have a conversation with them so that you can assist them in expressing and processing the feelings that they are experiencing. In addition, in order to stay aware of your child’s specific requirements, please consider having a conversation with them and monitoring their various forms of contact (for example, social media, phone, email, and text messages).
A support plan that allows students and staff to have access to counselors and other mental health specialists has been put into effect by the Crisis Response Team of the school district in order to provide assistance to anyone affected by grief and loss during this time. Please do not be afraid to call the school your child attends if you would want to speak with a counselor or any caring adult about how to deal with any issues you may have or grief that either you or your child may be experiencing. The school is there to help. We are here for you and your children in any manner that we may be of assistance, and we will do so.
