Tina Sherwood Death, Obituary –This comes as such a huge and unanticipated shock to me. When we found out that Tina Sherwood would be leaving the company today, we were all rendered mute and unable to find any solace in the news. She was such a fervent supporter of the grassroots music movement, which had provided her with such a purpose in life….she delighted in being “down the front” at gigs snapping away, and she traveled considerable miles simply to be there, to be a part of it. She was the epitome of a classy and elegant lady.
At the Wroot Rocks performance, when we first encountered her, she went right to our friend Nick, who is also her friend.
This was the very first time that either of us had ever laid eyes on her. Since she had been Nick’s English teacher back when he was in high school, the fact that she quickly recalled him should not have come as a surprise to anyone. This world that we live in, this place that we name home, is so very tiny. Everyone in the room could tell by the way that she smiled that she was genuinely enthused about the music and everything else that goes along with it. The width of her grin was almost exactly in keeping with the dimensions of her own face. Within this incredible musical family, there are a great many individuals who will miss her quite a bit and who care a great deal about her.
These people will miss her quite a little. People, stay near to one another and participate in a variety of activities to get the most out of this life; this existence of ours is nothing more than a fleeting moment, so we should make the most of it. I hope and pray that everything will work out for the best for you, Tina.
