Bill Meaney Death, Obituary – The news of Bill Meaney’s passing has left us in a state of deep regret and sadness, and we are passing it on to you. Bill was known as an exceptional racer and a gentleman at many of the racetracks located on the West Coast. His reputation preceded him at all of these racetracks. Throughout the course of his life, Bill has been seen driving a diverse selection of automobiles; nonetheless, the Jeep brand has consistently been his vehicle of choice. His most recent vehicle was one of the finest Larry Minor Motorsports Jeeps that was being campaigned, and it featured a one-of-a-kind header design that consisted of an 8-into-1 layout. This vehicle was one of the greatest Jeeps that was being campaigned by Larry Minor Motorsports.
This particular Jeep was easily among the most impressive examples of that model that Larry Minor Motorsports had ever produced. You could find Bill in the later rounds of virtually all of the competitions that he entered while he is driving this eye-catching Jeep that was purple with yellow flames. These were the rounds in which he had the best chance of coming out on top. His passing will not only leave a void in each and every one of our hearts, but it will also leave an empty spot in the winner’s circle that will never be filled. I beg of you, Bill, to not engage in any activity that could throw the race.
The very first race of the year, which will take place between the 20th and 22nd of January, will be known as “The Bill Meaney Memorial Race.” This is in recognition of Bill Meaney and his distinguished career in sand drag racing. The 20th through the 22nd of January has been designated as the dates for this competition. We are excited to have you join us as we honor the racing career of this extraordinary competitor and look forward to having you here with us. On the 21st of December, at 10:00 AM, there will be a memorial service held in honor of Bill Meaney. Immediately after the memorial service is over, there will be a reception hosted in his honor. If you are showing any signs or symptoms of illness, the family asks that you not come to the gathering. Please respect their request and stay home if you are sick.`
