Soon after he got back to Wisconsin, on September 5, 1959, he tied the knot with Sandra Tyczynski in Mequon. In 1965, the couple decided to start a family and made the trip to Waubeka to do so. Over the course of more than forty years, Bob was employed by HF Prahl Corporation in Germantown as a heavy equipment operator. In 1971, he became a member of the Waubeka Fire Department, where he eventually rose through the ranks to become the Assistant Chief. He also served as the Fire Inspector for the Boltonville Fire Department. He was an ardent member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Newburg, where he had been attending for many years. Other activities that Bob enjoyed were working in his garage, tending to his yard, and fishing.
His children Jeanne (Warren) Buchholz, Jacqueline (Glenn) Buchholz, Hans Lederer (Stacy), and Ross Lederer (Amy) are the only ones who will remember him after his passing. Additionally, he is survived by eight grandkids, which are as follows: Adam, Nathan, Carisa, Mick, Taylor, Jamie, Amanda, and Jimmy, 11 great-grandchildren: Naomi, Damian, Natalie, Isabella, Declan, Bennett, Blake, Gracie, Emmett, Mia, and Jade, his sister Carolyn (Ron) Verfuerth, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law. Sandra Lederer and her sister Jeanie Lederer, Sandra’s brother-in-law Dennis (Dorene) Tyczynski, Sandra and Jeanie’s nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends were in attendance.
He was predeceased by his wife Sandy, as well as his siblings Dorothy (Don) Geib, Harvey (LeNae) Lederer, Ralph Lederer, Rosemary (Ken) Wilhelme, George (Pat) Lederer, Fred Lederer, and his brother-in-law Michael “Black Mike” Tyczynski. In addition, his brother-in-law Michael “Black Mike” Tyczynski was his immediate predecessor. St. John’s Lutheran Church, located at 623 Congress Dr. in Newburg, will be the location of the funeral services that will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at noon. The Reverend Kurt Schaser will serve as the worship service’s presider. On Friday, January 6th, there will be a visiting at the church beginning at 10 AM and continuing up until the time of the services.
Instead of sending flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Newburg. It is an honor to be of service to the family at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington. You are welcome to share your sympathies with the family at www.eernissefuneralhome.com. The family of Bob would want to express their gratitude to Forest Haven and Preceptor Home Health & Hospice for the outstanding care and compassion that they provided.
