Chad Atkins Death, Obituary – Today, our hearts are more burdened than they have ever been, and we are completely at a loss for words. A genuinely remarkable individual who devoted their entire lives to the welfare of animals has passed away, taking with them both Paw Works and the rest of the world. In the process, he was able to save a significant number of human beings thanks to his compassion, sarcastic humor, infectious grin, and unwavering devotion. As members of the Paw Works family, we are deeply saddened to inform you of the passing of Chad Atkins, the company’s cofounder and the person who gave Paw Works its soul.
He died suddenly at home from heart failure and is survived by his son Sebastian and his husband, Bryan Diaz. His passing was unexpected and tragic. Paw Works is in mourning, but as many of you are aware, Chad would insist that we honor his memory by continuing Paw Works in accordance with his legacy, vision, goals, and dreams for the company. We are able to make out his words, which are “the moment has come, let’s get back to our purpose.” Chad’s passing left him with the motivation to launch a low-cost clinic that provides spay and neuter services. In order to reduce the number of unwanted pets in the world,
Chad was a staunch supporter of the spay/neuter movement. Even though we will no longer be able to see his lovely and exuberant face, his legacy will live on via us here at Paw Works, his family, and of course, all of you who supported his purpose and vision. Paw Works will continue to do what it does best: help pets.
In memory of Chad, we would like to establish a spay and neuter clinic at our new rescue location that offers affordable services. We ask that you make a donation in his memory so that we may carry on the work he has done throughout his life.
