Clarissa Lewis Death, Obituary – According to the authorities, a Tesla that was transporting five students from Liberty High School collided with a wall on Sunday night in Menifee, resulting in the death of a 16-year-old girl and injuries to the other people inside. According to information provided by Cal Fire and Riverside County Fire Department, the crash involving a single car was reported at 6:26 p.m. in the 29500 block of Old Newport Road. According to the information provided by the Riverside County Sheriff-Bureau Coroner’s and the Menifee Police Department, Clarissa Lewis, who was a resident of Menifee and was a passenger in the sports car, passed away at the scene on eastbound Old Newport Road, approximately 400 feet east of Bristol Gate Lane.
Lewis was seated in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. The preliminary investigation found that the Tesla was traveling westbound on Old Newport when the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a curb, according to the statement made by Captain Dave Gutierrez. After leaving the roadway, the Tesla crashed into a tree and then a brick wall, the witness said. Two of the survivors of the incident were sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the fire service reported that further injuries were moderate and mild in nature. The victims received care at a regional trauma facility after being transported there, and it was anticipated that they would live.
According to Gutierrez, the teenage driver and the surviving passengers gave their full cooperation to the investigation into the tragedy. It was not immediately obvious whether drinking or drugs were variables that contributed to the crash. The Menifee Police Department was carrying on with its investigation into the collision’s potential contributing factors. According to what Gutierrez had to say, “The Menifee Police Department extends its most heartfelt sympathies to the family of the dead juvenile.” “We would want to take this opportunity to urge all drivers who are relatively new to the road to develop safe driving habits and to become familiar with the capabilities of both themselves and their vehicles.”
Dr. Erika Tejeda, the principal of Liberty High School, expressed her sorrow over the passing of a student at the school on Monday morning. “There was a car accident that occurred last night just outside the Tierra Shores neighborhood in Menifee, as some of you may already be aware. It is with a heavy heart that I have to notify you that one of the students who was engaged in the accident that affected five students from Liberty High School has passed away “Tejeda stated this in a message that was published on the Facebook page of the Perris Union High School District.
