John Gregory Death, Obituary – Our condition of being is one of great melancholy as a direct result of being informed of the demise of John Gregory. We are in a deep state of sadness due to the passing of John Gregory, who was the famed head coach of the Iowa Barnstormers, and whose passing has caused us to be in this position. John Gregory was an essential part of the Barnstormers organization and was the one who was in charge of laying the groundwork for the foundations of the football program. He was also the person who was responsible for designing the framework.
To put it another way, the football program simply could not exist without the contributions of John Gregory. John was awarded the distinction of becoming the franchise’s very first Head Coach in the year 1995, and he proceeded to build his team from the ground up while also setting a very high bar for the years that were to come after his tenure. It is hard to put into words how much he will be missed by everyone associated with the Barnstormers, including the players, coaches, and staff, as well as the rest of the community in general. The entirety of the community will be saddened by his departure as well.
During this difficult time, we want the Gregory family to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers and that we are thinking about them and supporting them. Please be assured that we are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. The love and respect of others is universally directed toward you, John. The memorial service that will be held in memory of the deceased will take place on the 31st of January at 2:00 p.m. at the McLean Funeral Home in Gastonia, North Carolina, which can be found at 700 South New Hope Road. The location of the memorial service will be held in remembrance of the deceased.
Everyone who takes part is strongly encouraged to do so while wearing the football jersey that carries the highest amount of sentimental value on a personal level for them.
