Karl Kruckeberg Obituary, Death – Karl David Kruckeberg, age 70, passed away on December 8, 2022 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a resident of White Hall, Missouri. Before his death, he had spent a large amount of time combating a condition that ultimately proved fatal. His birthday, April 15th, 1952, was spent in Alton, Illinois, and he is a member of the Kruckeberg family. His parents, Walter and Ruth (Eden) Kruckeberg, gave birth to him.
Throughout the course of his employment with the Illinois Department of Mental Health, Karl served in a number of different capacities, including first as a psychologist and program director at the Jacksonville Mental Health Center, then as the administrator of the Alton Mental Health Center, and finally as the network manager responsible for coordinating mental health facility services for the counties in southern Illinois. In each of these roles, Karl was a part of the Illinois Department of Mental Health.
Karl was able to retire at a young age, and he spent his time working as a woodworker, tending to flowers, especially roses, going to auctions in search of “treasures,” and upgrading the bathrooms and kitchens in the home that he shared with his family, amongst other activities. This objective was successfully accomplished by him as a result of the fact that he had sufficient monies stashed away in his savings account.
Even though he had no prior experience in the field, he was willing to take on any project because he was confident that he could figure out how to complete it as he went along, even though he was willing to take on any project. Even though he had no prior expertise in the field, he was willing to take on any project. Becoming a Renaissance man and achieving the renown that comes with that ambition was always his primary objective in life.
