Larry Norris Obituary, Death – Larry Norris, who resided in Maryville and was 70 years old, passed away on December 10, 2022. He worked in the Information Technology Department at Denso for 32 years. Many individuals thought of him as a friend. He had a lot of respect for the other members of his squad, Jan, Robbie, and John. The flying of the flag at half-staff in honor of Larry’s memory is something that our family deeply appreciates. Larry was a humble and unassuming man who was known for treating others with kindness and respect at all times.
He was somewhat reserved, but that was always one of the endearing qualities about him. He spent the first 13 years of his life in Knoxville, after which he relocated his family to Maryville. He grew up in Blount County, where he still resides now. He referred to himself as a genuine born-and-bred spirit. They were married for 43 years, and throughout that time they explored similar interests such as hiking, bicycling, their faith, the Miata Club of East Tennessee, camping, and digging through antique shops together.
Melanie was also Melanie’s wife. “Dad” to Amy (Chad) Richards of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; Amy is Chad’s daughter. Since the beginning of her life, he has been a kind father who is always proud of his daughter’s achievements. Amy was the shining star in his life and the source of much happiness in his heart. Since they were young children together, they have been the best of friends. Alan Jones was like a brother to him.
Larry had a lot of affection for Alan and his wife, Susan. For a good number of years, Kenny Byrd was someone that Larry always had a soft spot for in his heart. Riding motorcycles together in their younger years left Larry, Alan, and Kenny with a lot of fond memories. It was Larry’s intention that there not be a service held in his honor.
