Leroy Funderburk Obituary, Death – Leroy Funderburk, who had lived in Columbus, Mississippi, passed away on July 12, 2022 while he was a patient at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko, which is located in the state of Mississippi. Funderburk had been a resident of Columbus for the most of his life. He was 90 years old at that point in time. Funeral services will be held in the Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel on the morning of July 16, 2022, at 10 o’clock (local time), on the day of the deceased’s passing.
The Reverend Danny Avery has been asked to preside over the event as the ceremony’s preacher. After that, at 12:30 in the afternoon, the burial will take place in the Union Grove Church of God Cemetery in Mooreville, Mississippi, with full military honors. Visitation will be conducted at the Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory on the evening of Friday, July 15, 2022, beginning at five o’clock in the afternoon and continuing until seven o’clock in the evening.
This event will take place on a Friday. In Itawamba County, Mississippi, on the 10th of September in 1931, Mr. Funderburk made his entrance into the world as a human being. His parents were James E. Funderburk and Lydia Grissom Funderburk, but they had both passed away before he was born. Sadly, he never got to meet either of them. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of both the Korean War and the fight in Korea. He was a veteran of both conflicts.
When Mr. Funderburk reached the conclusion that he no longer wanted to work at the Columbus Water Plant in his capacity as a supervisor, he had been there for the previous 33 years and worked there continuously. Betty Funderburk, who was his first wife, as well as eight of his siblings had all passed away before he did. Everyone else in his family had passed away before him, including his parents and all of his other relatives.
