Marvin Smith Death, Obituary – Marvin Eugene “Smitty” Smith, who had lived in Nabb, Indiana for the majority of his life and had reached the age of 76 when he passed away on December 11, 2022, did so while he was at his residence. The eleventh of December was the day he passed away. Those who cared for him and loved him from both of his families were by his side as he breathed his last breaths and passed away. On November 11th, 1946, his parents, Phillip and Alma Bibbs Smith, who were living in Bethlehem, Indiana at the time of his birth, welcomed him into the world. At the time of his birth, Phillip and Alma Bibbs Smith were residents of Bethlehem, Indiana.
They had recently tied the knot at the time. He was a member of the United States Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War. Currently, he is a volunteer firefighter with the New Washington Fire Department and has been a member of the department for the past 37 years. He worked for Citgo Petroleum in Louisville, Kentucky, as a terminal operator up to the time that he reached the mandatory retirement age, at which point he retired from the firm. After reaching that age, he no longer worked for the corporation. Before he was born, he lost every member of his immediate family, including both of his parents, his brother Ansel “Buddy” Smith, his sister Mabel Cochran, and his son in law Chad Crace.
His mother and father had both died away before he was born. He was the only member of his immediate family to have survived, and he ended up being the only member of his family to survive in total. Angela Crace of Charlestown, Indiana, and Floyd Smith of Nabb are Marvin’s surviving children. He is also survived by his wife, JoAnn Dickey Smith. In addition, he is survived by his brother Vernon Smith of Clarksville, Indiana, as well as his grandchildren Kali Crace, Trey Crace, and Ty Crace. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Crace. Additionally, JoAnn Dickey Smith is survived by Marvin’s grandchildren after his passing.
On the 16th of December, 2022, commencing at 2:00 in the afternoon and lasting until 6:00 in the evening, a gathering to commemorate the life of the individual who has passed away will take place at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington. The location of the event will be in New Washington. In honor of the person who has passed away, this event will take place. [Citation needed] There was never any doubt in anyone’s mind that the burial would take place at Bethlehem Cemetery; hence, that is the location where it will take place in the years to come.
