Michael Richards Obituary, Death – Michael Richards was a great friend and a devoted volunteer for our organization. We are writing to inform you of his passing as we have recently learned of his passing. During this time of great sadness, we are writing to tell you of his passing. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Michael exemplified what it means to be a gentleman in a well-kept town because he was courteous to all of the residents of the community, concerned about the health and safety of the surrounding area, and kind to other people.
Michael was a true gentleman who possessed the traits of being considerate as well as caring for others around him. Everyone in this room will feel as though they have been dealt a crushing blow by the passing of Michael Richards. Richards passed away on November 5, 2022, when he was 63 years old. The date of his death is also given as November 5. The 5th of November was the day he passed away.
Although he has spent the bulk of his life in Gurnee, Illinois, he was born in Chicago and received his high school diploma there. He moved to Gurnee when he was young and has lived there ever since. His formative years were spent in Waukegan, Illinois, and he received his high school diploma from Carmel. Mike was a dedicated reader, an accomplished trivia player, and a longtime supporter of his much-loved Chicago White Sox baseball team during the thirty years that he worked as a postal carrier serving the communities of North Chicago and Great Lakes.
Mike’s job required him to deliver mail to residents of North Chicago and Great Lakes. Mike was a sports fan in general, particularly of baseball. It has come to pass that members of Mike Richards’ family, including his brother Jim and his parents Herbert and Brigid Richards, have passed away. His sister, Noreen (Jon), and Sherri Walls, who was a close friend of his for the past 35 years, are the only ones who will carry on his legacy after his passing. Mike was bereft of both of his parents and his brother, Jim, all at the same time.
