Nancy Ward Obituary, Death – The passing of Nancy Ann (Hillhouse) Ward, age 52, of Harrisville, Utah on December 8, 2022 was announced on Thursday. She was the second of two daughters that William (Bill) and Dorothy Jean Hillhouse welcomed into the world on December 5, 1970 at Frances Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming. In 1973, they made the move to Ogden, which is located in Utah. Ben Lomond High School bestowed its diploma upon her in the year 1989. On April 17, 1998, she tied the knot with Stacy Ward. Hannah is now 22 years old, and Anthony is 18 years old; both of their children are still living at home.
She began her employment with the “Second Family,” Smith & Edwards, in Farr West, Utah, not long after she graduated from high school. She spent 26 years as Head Cashier, and the part of her job that made her happiest was assisting customers. Their unwavering commitment to her lasted for many years and was remarkable. She cherished her interactions with each and every coworker. The interests that Nancy had were as varied as the things that God had created. American history, with a particular focus on the Civil War; ghost hunting; investigating the history of Jack the Ripper; bull riding; classic rock; traditional country music; and live concerts. The Denver Broncos were her team of choice to cheer for. In addition to that, Cheetos and Diet Coke with lime were two of her favorite things. Castle was, and “always will be,” her favorite television show of all time. She was a devoted Ben Lomond alumna, and she had a deep desire to travel to Scotland in order to learn more about the country’s rich history. Stacy is making preparations to turn that dream into a reality.
Her parents, Bill and Jean Hillhouse, of Harrisville, Utah, her sister Vicki (B) Lewey of Champaign, Illinois, and her sister (by love) Peggy Davis of Ogden, as well as her nephews Jacob Ward of Chicago, Illinois, Bryan Bitton of Denham Springs, Louisiana, Weston Bitton and Colton Bitton of Champaign, Illinois, will miss her terribly. Peggy Davis of Ogden will be her sister-in-love. On Thursday, December 15, 2022, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., a Celebration of Life service will be held at Myers Mortuary, which is located at 845 Washington Blvd. in Ogden. Nobody is truly gone if they are not remembered. We will never be able to forget about Nancy.
