Timothy Stauffer Obituary, Death – Timothy “Tim” Leigh Stauffer, who was 72 years old and lived in Polo, Illinois, passed away on December 8, 2022 at the OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois. For the past 43 years, he has been employed with the Local 727 Union as a laborer. Tim’s work consisted primarily of working outages at nuclear reactors, performing road work and pipeline work, removing hazardous waste and asbestos, and working on roads and pipelines.
Tim Stauffer is the son of LeRoy and Patricia (Arend) Stauffer and was born on December 2nd, 1950 in Amboy, Illinois. On January 18, 1986, he wed Colleen Beard at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dixon, Illinois. The ceremony took place. Above all else, he treasured the time he spent with his family and grand-pups, as well as fishing and traveling with his wife Colleen to exotic locations such as Hawaii and Cancun (Zoey, Nevaeh, and Brutus).
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Colleen Stauffer, of Polo; two sons, Timothy B. (Peggy) Stauffer of Rochelle and Jake A. (Tanya Drabek) Stauffer of Beloit, WI; one daughter, Kelli M. (Sam) Riggen of Dixon; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Julie B. Johnson of Dixon. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the United States
Tim’s passing was preceded by that of his parents, two of his daughters (Kristi L. Stauffer and Kari B. Stauffer), and one of his grandchildren (Riley Riggen).
On Friday, December 16, 2022, the memorial visitation will begin at 11:00 am and continue until the time of the memorial ceremony at 1:00 pm. The event will be held at the Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon, with Pastor Jack Briggs serving as the officiant.
