At 12:56 in the morning, Sean Combs’s passing was made known to the general public for the first time. This was the conclusion reached after the team spent more than eight hours at the scene. Following spending more than eight hours at the spot, the team came to this realization after their investigation. It is unknown what the suspect took with them as they escaped the scene before they could be seen escaping, as the police were unable to follow them. However, there is no information on a suspect, who is still at large, and the police have claimed that security video footage would be made available in the near future to assist in identifying the people or individuals involved.
The police have indicated that the surveillance video footage will be made public in the very near future, despite the fact that there are security cameras installed outside of the gas station. An prior gunshot took place at the same Sunoco station in August, in which a young child of 13 years old was wounded in the face. The current incident also took place at the same Sunoco station. During the earlier event, the toddler was struck in the face by a bullet. At this time, the Chicago Police Department asks that members of the general public stay away from the area since the junction of West Broad and Harris is still closed.
