Eva Pigg Obituary, Death – On December 8, 2022, Eva Ruth Weaver Pigg, who had been a resident of Beardstown, passed away at the Sarah D. Culbertson Hospital in Rushville. She was 96 years old at the time of her passing.
She was born on February 18, 1926 in the community of LaClede, Illinois, and her parents were John Arfus and Ina Elizabeth Lewis Weaver. She was the only child of her parents. She married James Wydell Pigg on October 12, 1941, and he passed away on May 10, 1999, two years before she did. Their wedding took place on October 12, 1941.
Her four children are the ones to succeed her after she passes away. Richard Pigg and his wife, Cathy, of Wickliffe, Kentucky; Cheryl Ann Perry and her husband, Lyndel, of Beardstown; and ten grandchildren. Twila Brown of Wickliffe, Kentucky; Jim Wydell and his wife, Patty, of Beardstown; Richard Pigg and his wife, Cathy, of Wickliffe, Kentucky; and ten grandchildren. There are a huge number of Angel “wife Bailey” Feezor, Lyndel “companion Jerid” Perry, Stace “husband Chris” Herzog, and Ryan “wife Betsy” Perry; 26 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a large number of nieces and nephews. At the time of her high school graduation in 1941, Eva was a member of the class of 1941 at Salem High School. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Rushville in addition to her employment at the Illinois Department of Transportation in Springfield. Her previous location of employment was in Springfield. When she was younger, she used to enjoy lending a hand in the orchard and contributing in any way she could. Taking part in card games, going on forays in search of wild mushrooms, and caring to Eva’s vegetable garden were among her most cherished pastimes.
