Evan Kearney Obituary, Death – We regret to inform you that one of our senior swimmers, Evan Kearney, has died away. His passing has left us with a heavy heart. This is a news that we are making with a lot of sadness in our hearts. Evan joined the team in the fall of his freshman year, and ever since that time, he has functioned as a kind of “team brother” to everyone he has communicated with who is a part of the team.
We owe him a great deal of credit for the swim club becoming what it is today since he has served on the Executive Board in the roles of Secretary, President, and most recently, Legacy Advisor. In all of these capacities, he has been instrumental in the development of the swim club. Evan was not just a friend but also a teammate, and he was known for being exceptionally kind to all of the members of the squad.
He made others feel welcome by smiling and laughing with them, regardless of whether they were completely new to the group or one of our seasoned veterans. At each and every competition that he attended, he would keep the team record sheet open on his phone while he watched each and every one of our swimmers, and he would get ready to add a new entry each time. It didn’t matter where we were or what we were doing, he always managed to find a way to make us laugh.
His comedic talent was unrivaled to that of anyone else we had ever known. At this time, we would like to offer our deepest sympathies to his family as well as his friends who were close to him.
We want you to be aware that going through this time of sorrow by yourself is not something that is asked of you at any point. If you are having trouble getting through your struggles, please check in with your friends and don’t be hesitant to talk to other people or get help from a professional if you feel the need to. We, the members of CNU Club Swim, want you to know how much we care about you and how much we are going to miss having you as a part of our team and our community. We hop
