Hugh Baird Death, Obituary – With the deepest grief, we learned of the passing of a true gentleman who had been a longtime member of both Kirkintilloch Lenzie and DCS. His membership in both organizations spanned a significant amount of time. Hugh Baird was surrounded by his family and his beloved wife Ellen when he died away, and he was able to spend his final moments with those he loved.
Hugh was on the executive board of our club and had been a member of the club for well over half a century when he was elected to that position. He held a number of different positions at the club, including that of laterally Chairman, among other things.
On the 21st of June 2021, he gave the club notice of his intention to quit and thereafter retired from the position.
He was well-known for his skill as a “Dog Man,” and he had a particular soft spot in his heart for spitze breeds. His devotion to these canines contributed to the rise of his fame.
We were disappointed when he decided to leave the club since he had been an important part of the community there and we knew we could always turn to him for advice. However, he had made the decision to go on his own accord.
He was well-known for his skill at the club raffle, where he frequently competed against himself in an effort to break his own records for the most money won.
He sipped his whisky with great pleasure. As a result of this, when we perform, we are going to do it with a toast to commemorate his memory.
May you finally find rest, Hugh. Our deepest sympathies and condolences are extended to his wonderful family, and in particular to Ellen, who was his beloved wife and loyal friend. A few more pictures have been uploaded, and I hope the ones you’ve been thinking about are happy ones. I’ve added a few more pictures. In our situation, this is a resounding yes.
