Kathy Spangler Obituary, Death – Kathy R. Spangler, who was 36 years old at the time of her death, passed away on December 11th, 2022 at the Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio. She called the town of Oak Harbor in Ohio her home. During the final moments of her life, loving ones from both of her families were there to care for her.
On March 12, 1986, her daughter was welcomed into the world by her parents, George and Karen (Siebeneck) Bockey, who were residing in the city of Lima in the state of Ohio at the time. Both her Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Science in Education were earned in the subject of education.
With her Bachelor of Science in Education coming from Bowling Green State University and her Master of Science in Education coming from Bluffton College. Both degrees are in the field of education. Her graduation from Delphos St. Johns took place in 2004, and she was awarded a diploma.
On July 23, 2016, she married Christopher Spangler, who is still active in the world today. Their wedding vows were exchanged on that day. At the time that this statement was penned, Kathy was employed by the Benton-Carroll-Salem School District as a classroom instructor.
As part of her employment, she was responsible for instructing pupils in the second grade. She was a very involved member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ congregation in Oak Harbor and the activities that they were involved in. Aside from spending time with the people she cared about, Kathy enjoyed playing volleyball, seeing far-flung places, and most importantly, teaching.
Her husband Christopher and their dog Charlie, both of whom live in Oak Harbor, are counted among the members of her family who have survived. She is also survived by her mother, Karen Bockey, who resides in Delphos; her sisters, Lianne Pohlman and Laura (Brian) McDaniel, both of which also reside in Delphos; her nieces and nephews, Cheyenne, Isabella, Pippa, and Harper Pohlman, Chloe and Austin McDaniel; and her father and mother-in-law George Bockey, her father, had already passed away before she did as well
