Tommy Devereux Death, Obituary – Tommy Devereux was an active member of the Republican Party who spent his entire life in the town of Castlebar, which is found in County Mayo. His entire life was spent in the town of Castlebar. As soon as I found out that he had passed away, I was filled with a sense of sorrow and despondence. My heartfelt condolences go out to his wife, Ann, and their children, Orla and Oonagh, as well as the rest of the Devereux clann and, of course, the Republican family in Mayo. Mayo will always be a Republican stronghold. I am truly sorry for the loss that you have suffered. Mayo is and always will be a stronghold of support for Republican candidates and policies.
Tommy Devereux has been an active member of the Republican party not only in Mayo but also across the West since the 1950s. His involvement in the party has taken him all around the West. His involvement in this movement began. The people who have gone before us and made such significant contributions in terms of their efforts and sacrifices allow us to literally stand on the shoulders of giants. Tommy and Ann are the individuals who are principally responsible for the foundation of Mayo Sinn Féin, and they also act as the pillars of the party. Tommy was elected as the party’s first chairman, and Ann was elected as the party’s first secretary.
Tommy was one of those humble recipients who was honored in 2009 at the Le Chéile dinner dance for Republicans from all four provinces and from abroad for their dedication and commitment to the Republican struggle. The dinner dance was held for Republicans in honor of Le Chéile, which is the Irish word for “the churn.” In honor of the Republicans’ unwavering support and devotion to the Republican party’s mission, a dinner dance was hosted in their honor. A dinner dance was put on especially for Republicans to celebrate their unflinching loyalty and support for the Republican cause. The dinner dance was held in celebration of the republicans’ unwavering devotion and support.
In order to show appreciation to members of the Republican party for all of the hard work that they had put in throughout the course of the fight for Republican causes, a dinner dance was organized as a symbol of appreciation. We are in the position that we are in right now, which is that we have a sitting SF Mayo TD, thanks to all of the hard work that Tommy Devereux has put in over the course of the years. We would not be in this predicament if it were not for his contribution.
