Barbara Palmer Obituary, Death – This week, we learned that Barbara Palmer will be departing the company, and hearing that news has each of our hearts feeling a great degree of sadness. The news was conveyed with us this week. We are all going to miss her very much after her passing. After holding a position on the New Romney Town Council for some time, Barbara decided to run for mayor of New Romney in 2001 and was finally successful in winning the election to that position.
She continued to serve as Mayor of New Romney until the end of her tenure in 2004, at which point she resigned from the job. She served in that capacity until the conclusion of her term. She was a contributing member of the neighborhood both during and after her time serving on the Council, as evidenced by the fact that she took part in a diverse array of community activities and organizations. This was true both when she was serving on the Council and after she had stepped down from that post on the council.
She has devoted her entire life to acting as an advocate for a wide range of issues in a variety of capacities. It is beyond a doubt that the news of her leaving will cause excruciating suffering to a big number of people hailing from a variety of different backgrounds. During this difficult time, we want her family to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers, that they are in our thoughts and that we are thinking about them, and that they are in our thoughts and that we are thinking about them.
In addition to that, we want them to be aware that we are considering them. As a sign of respect for the departed, the flag of the Cinque Ports was flown at half-mast atop the Town Hall both yesterday and today, as well as on the day of the funeral itself. In addition, the flag shall be flown at half-mast until midnight of the day after the conclusion of the funeral and burial services. This was done as a mark of respect for a member of the Cinque Ports community who had died away quite recently.
