Jeremy Burney Death, Obituary – Officials with the Georgia State Patrol and the Hall County Sheriff’s Office say that the motorcyclist died as a result of an accident that took place while he was attempting to evade law enforcement authorities. They say that the accident took place while the motorcyclist was traveling in the opposite direction of the authorities. The accident happened while the motorcycle was going at a very high speed. On December 10, a deputy allegedly made an attempt on Interstate 985, near to mile marker 12, to pull down a biker for committing traffic offences. This is what the Georgia State Patrol had to say about it.
Jeremy Wayne Burney, who is 28 years old and hails from Flowery Branch, has been identified as the rider who sustained injuries in the accident. When the crash took place, Burney was riding a motorcycle at the time. There is no new information that has been provided by the Georgia State Patrol concerning the particular traffic violations that have been committed. This is because there is no new information. Following the confrontation with the authorities, a member of the Georgia State Patrol reported that Burney had driven past him at Exit 16 at a rate of speed that was significantly faster than average.
While Burney and the state trooper were giving chase to each other on the highway, Burney was driving at such a breakneck speed that the trooper was unable to keep up with him. After doing a U-turn, the state trooper went back out into the road to resume his pursuit of Burney. The Georgia State Patrol asserts that not long after that, Hall County dispatch received reports of a collision involving a motorbike that took place close to the Exit 17 off-ramp. Burney was unable to negotiate the bend at the top of the ramp, which resulted in his smashing his car all by himself, as determined by the conclusions of the investigation into the automobile accident. The investigation of the collision yielded the findings that were used to compile this material.
Reports indicate that Burney sustained serious injuries and was sent to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the facility. The Georgia State Patrol was kind enough to supply these statistics.
