Keith Rutkowski Obituary, Death -It is with the heaviest of hearts that I bring you this last piece of information regarding our cherished buddy Keith Rutkowski. Earlier on today, a choice was made to remove the ventilator that Keith was using to breathe. It was requested by his brother, medical power of attorney holders, and those who were closest to him that every conceivable action be taken to preserve his life. The physicians did everything they possibly could, but his lungs were just too damaged to be saved. Without that machine, he never would have been able to take a breath on his own.
I’m sure I speak for a good many of you when I say that I simply do not know how to function in a world without my dearest friend, my brother, or my guardian. The list can be continued indefinitely. Keith was a formidable opponent. Every single person who has ever interacted with him has been influenced in some manner by him. He was a light that burned brighter than any other, an energy that could never be matched by anyone else in the world. Even though he was just 41 years old, he had already experienced everything that life has to offer. You never passed up an opportunity to go on a trip or to attend a party.
He would give the proverbial clothes off his back to anyone in need, regardless of how long he had known the person or how recently they had come into his life. Keith possessed an uncanny ability to make others feel as though he was their “best friend.” He is without a doubt the most selfless individual I have ever met and am likely to ever meet in my life. There is a great deal more that I am able to convey, and I will most likely do so at some time in the future. This is because I want everyone who reads them to appreciate the gravity of this misfortune.
Please pray that he is finally able to find rest with his mother and that those of us who were fortunate enough to know and love him will be able to find a way to go on with our lives despite the fact that we will miss him every single second of every single day for the rest of our lives. Once more, I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has prayed for him, given money, texted, or called to offer their support. He was well aware of the affection that was directed at him from all quarters, and this meant a great deal to everyone of us.
