Romario Simons Death, Obituary – The name of a man who was killed in a collision in Sandys on Tuesday evening was determined by police yesterday. The incident took place in Sandys. He had just turned 24 years old. On Middle Road in Sandys, close to the intersection with Overplus Lane, at approximately six o’clock in the evening, Romario Simons was riding a motorcycle when it was involved in a collision with a sport utility vehicle. The SUV was driving the other vehicle. As a consequence of the accident, Simons suffered serious injuries. When the police noticed the male driver of the SUV attempting to make a right turn onto Overplus Lane, their initial thought was that the vehicles were traveling in the opposite direction when they saw him attempting to make the turn.
Before the crash that took place, the male motorcyclist had been seen attempting to get around another vehicle, according to a statement made by a spokesman for the police department.
At the scene of the collision, emergency medical technicians offered care to the rider before rushing them to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where they continued to try to save the rider’s life, but unfortunately, he did not make it. It is the seventh fatality that can be attributed to a vehicle so far in 2018. By the year 2021, there had been a total of 17 of them. The police saw that a family liaison officer was offering support and help to Mr. Simons’ loved ones as the roads policing department examined the events that led up to the collision.
