David Johnson Death, Obituary – David Clay Johnson, who had been a resident of Connelly Springs all of his life and had reached the age of 72 when he passed away on December 13, 2022, did so in a tranquil and peaceful manner. He was born in Ashe County on April 10th, 1950 to his late parents, John Johnson and Myrtle Munday Johnson. His parents have now passed away. They were overjoyed to see him and have him join them in this world. Fishing and drag racing were two of David’s most beloved hobbies, despite the fact that he enjoyed a wide range of pursuits. It was a source of great pride for him that he owned not one but two drag racing cars, and that he used both of them on a regular basis.
David and his friends frequently congregated at the Wycoff Garage, which was another of David’s favourite local hangouts. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Jim Johnson and Joe Johnson. His grandparents also passed away before him. Additionally, he passed away before any of his siblings. Along with his grandparents, his great-grandparents were removed from this earth before he was even born.
