Michael Ogle Obituary, Death – Michael (Mike) Bernon Ogle, 58, a resident of Grant, Alabama, passed away at his home in Grant, Alabama on Saturday, August 19, 2017. He had 58 years under his belt. On May 2, 1959, in the town of Boaz, Alabama, Mike Ogle was born to his parents, Ernest (Curly) Ogle and Delores Yarbrough Ogle. After graduating from Boaz High School in 1977, he enlisted in the Army and was a part of the 82nd Air Borne Infantry division for the duration of his four years of military service. After that, Mike received his degree from JF Drake Technical College in the year 1986.
He and Charlene Clark Ogle were married for a total of 35 years. He spent 23 years of his career working with Comcast Cable. For the past 21 years, Mike has been actively involved in the Grassy Mountain Holiness Church. Mike was an active outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, and he looked forward to spending the summers at the shore casting his line. He took great pride in tending to his garden and keeping chickens as pets. Mike was a fantastic husband and father, and he absolutely adored his three grandchildren. They were the light of his life.
Mitchell Ogle, the man who was his brother, passed away before him. Charlene Ogle, his husband; his father, Ernest Bernon Ogle; his mother, Delores Ann Yarbrough Bartlett; his son, Louie Michael Ogle (Amber); his son, Levi Bernon Ogle (Ella); his grandchildren, Allie, Jute, and Kansadie; his sister, Melissa (Rickey) Noble; and two nieces, Amanda Overby and Taylor Ogle; all survive.
Visitation will be held at Grassy Mountain Holiness Church on Monday from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Tuesday, at 2:00 p.m., funeral services will be held at the Grassy Mountain Holiness Church, with Bros. Jack Lynch and Chris Clark serving as officiants.
