Patricia Hansen Death, Obituary – Former Director on the Hockey Queensland Board and currently serving as a Life Member of the Hockey Queensland Association (HQ). In addition to that, Trish was HQ’s representative on the Judiciary Committee. The fact that Trish has been a member of a hockey club in Queensland for well over 35 years and has served as President, Secretary, Treasurer, and a delegate to the Mackay Hockey Association for close to 30 years demonstrates the breadth and depth of her commitment and dedication to the sport of hockey over the course of a significant amount of time.
During this time period, Trish served on a variety of committees, some of which include the Competitions, Executive, Fixtures, Selectors, Umpire, Technical, Judiciary, and Uniform Controller committees. In addition, she was a member of the Judiciary committee. In addition to that, she manages women’s teams ranging from ages U18 to Australian Women’s Masters, as well as teams for Mackay Masters, Queensland Country Women, Queensland Women Masters, and Queensland Women. Additionally, she represents Mackay in the Masters level of competition. Both the Camerons Hockey Club and the Mackay Hockey Association presented Trish with the status of Life Member in recognition of her achievements.
During the Women’s Masters World Championships, Hockey Australia bestowed upon Trish “The State Service Award,” which recognizes outstanding service to the organization. This award was given “in recognition of outstanding contribution to the Women’s Masters Hockey competition in Queensland.” A longtime member of the HQ Women’s Masters Committee who was responsible for compiling all Records and who made a contribution to the presentation of the 30 Year Celebration of Veteran/Masters Women in Queensland, which was held in Maryborough during the MW Championships. In addition, she was responsible for compiling all Records.
